The kids took some to their teachers for teacher appreciation (which I appreciated) and Derek finished off one and with each bite all he could say was, "mmmmmmm". He knows good food!
The rest of our day...Derek and I enjoyed a run around Lake Pine. This lake has a great 2 mile paved trail around it and it isn't far from our house. We went as a family on Sunday for the first time and really enjoyed it, so I thought it would be good after the donuts to burn a few calories. It was so beautiful. The first thing we saw were 4 geese with about 15 baby geese alongside the trail. There were two Blue Herons and the best were the turtles basking in the sun. We had seen a muskrat on Sunday in one location and today there were two logs full of turtles of all shapes and sizes. I wish I had had the camera. What a great place! Chris and I enjoyed a scrumptious lunch at Romano's Macaroni Grill (the one place our dietician says she has a hard time finding a healthy meal on the menu) but it's our anniversary right?! I think Chris' meal would have been okay except that they gave him triple servings! We loved the bread, Derek slept, and we enjoyed predicting the future. Later after school and work we played a little softball and soccer with the kids. Derek loved crawling on the open field, tasting the grass and just being happy. Sadie and Mason are great little athletes! It was a wonderful day.

See what i mean? I saw those donuts and forgot to wish you a Happy Anniversary. Happy Anniversary! Ten years is a big deal. I hope you are doing more to celebrate than eating donuts.
