Halloween

This year we had Woody, aka "Buddy" according to Derek, Iron Man and a Cowgirl/Horse. The kids had fun dressing up for their annual school festival and they managed to make it to two Trunk -or-Treats this year.

Wow - we made it down to Cary, NC at last. We only brought a few things that we can get by on until our house in Maryland sells and we can buy a place here. We got an apartment in the meantime but it won't be available for a couple of days. Until them we are in an extended stay hotel. Despite all this, the kids were still gung-ho to go trick or treating. Some friends of ours live in the area as well and invited us to join them during their trick or treating in their neighborhood. Mason went for the easy "buy it at the store" costume of spiderman, but Sadie wanted to put one of her own together. We found a few things around the house and viola, we have a flying pink unicorn! There were a few wardrobe malfunctions throughout the night, however, so she slowly evolved into a non-flying pink unicorn, followed by just a pink horse. Despite this, the night was a success and all kids came back fully loaded in treats. Even Mom and Dad got to sample some of the loot. W00t!
