Andrews AFB Air Show

In what is becoming a bit of a tradition, Chris and the kids went to the annual air show at Andrews AFB. It's a great show with lots of planes - including a demo of the F-22 this year. The Blue Angels weren't here this year, but the Thunderbirds filled in instead. There was lot's to do and see. Some of the favorites of the kids was the pink plane from Delta airlines, the K-9 demonstration by the Military Police, and the Flight Simulator (like a big video game).

Here are Sadie and Mason in the engine of the Delta plane!

Andrews AFB Air Show

Today was a busy, fun-filled day! It was the first day of the Andrew Air Force Base Air Show. Today's events were set aside for members of the military and their friends. Though not in the military, we have friends who are and invited us to join them. This was great as the event is very popular and it can get very crowded when it gets open to the public. The kids had a great time crawling in and out of all the planes, cars, tanks, etc. that were on display as well as enjoying the air show. We say the Snowbirds from Canada as well as the Blue Angels and a variety of trick planes. They were amazing! I was amazed at the precision of their flying even though it was a bit windy today. Here are some pictures of the events!
