Turkey Trot and burgers with friendst!
The weekend before Thanksgiving was a busy one. First, I woke up and drove to Pinehurst, NC to run a 1/2 marathon with my friend Charmaigne. It was a bit of a reunion as Charmaigne and I know each other from Maryland and she now lives in NC too a couple of hours from Cary. Pinehurst was a good meeting place. I was a bit nervous for this race as I hadn't been training like I should in order to feel the confidence I needed. My knees also had tendinitis and I was worried about pain. Charmaigne had also just run a marathon 2 weeks before so this was going to be a "take it easy" run for her. So together we made it and we had a pretty good time too: 2:15 and change. I was excited and pain free! Thanks Charmaigne!

After the race, I "raced" home to shower and then jump in the car again to go and see our friends Rob and Ashley who live in SC and were coming up to NC! Rob is a childhood friend from Alaska. We've been trying to get together for about a year now and it was great to have a couple of hours to catch up. They have two of the cutest kiddos. We ate burgers, caught up on each other's families and browsed the Mac store. Thanks for a great visit. Hope we can get together again soon!
