Christmas 2006

This Christmas was filled with great fun and lots of relaxation! Grandma and Grandpa Johns came to visit over the weekend and for Christmas and we all had a great time enjoying food and presents. Sadie loved here American Girl Doll from Farmor and takes it with her everywhere. Mason loves his trucks and entertains himself for hours. Later in the week we headed down to Virginia Beach to visit our friends, the Baca's. Sadie and Mason could barely contain their excitement for the visit. We enjoyed great food and great company. One of the highlights for the kids was a place called the Bounce House. This is basically a small warehouse that has set up a bunch of those large inflatable bouncing and sliding play areas inside of it. The kids run around and entertain themselves and the adults relax in the lay-z-boys. I think I may have dosed off at one time since I woke up to Katie and Sheryl snickering at me. What can I say though - put a guy in a recliner and sleep is bound to happen. Later we enjoyed purple ice cream at the Purple Cow restaurant and saltwater taffy on the beach! It was a bummer to have to come back to reality after the vacation but we are excited for 2007 and all that the year is sure to bring!
