This last weekend we were fortunate to have Katie's brother Nick from Alaska come to visit. He was down checking out some equipment for work and was able to spend some time with us. We were especially fortunate as well as the company invited Katie and I to join them for their dinner event. It was on the top floor of the hotel overlooking Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The food was fantastic and the company picked up the whole tab! We haven't eaten food like that for quite some time.
On Sunday we were able to spend some time at the new American Indian Museum in downtown D.C. before Nick had to leave to go back to Alaska. The kids favorite part though was the fountains and rock structures outside the museum, along with the ducks. They would run along and quack at them - just laughing the whole time!

Hearing talk of Alaska and snow and snowmobiling makes me a bit homesick. I hope to be able to go back sometime soon!

I hope the kids get used to going to museums as they must get a lot of that experience with visitors. Sounds like the evening with Nick's interests in Baltimore was pleasant enough. Sadie, you look toothless in your photos! I hope you can still chew your food. Is it fun losing teeth? I lost a tooth in the back of my mouth; actually it cracked and the dentist had to put a pretend tooth in it's place. It seems to work just as well as the real tooth. Maybe you could try that!
